Heavy Rains : దేశ రాజధాని ఢిల్లీ ని భారీ వర్షం ముంచెత్తింది. ఇవాళ తెల్లవారుజామున కురిసిన ఎడతెరిపి లేని కుండపోత వర్షానికి నగరం మొత్తం స్తంభించిపోయింది. రోడ్లన్నీ నదులను తలపిస్తున్నాయి. లోతట్టు ప్రాంతాలు పూర్తిగా జలమయమయ్యాయి. ఇళ్లలోకి నీరు చేరడంతో ప్రజలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారు. పలుచోట్ల చెట్లు, విద్యుత్‌ స్తంభాలు కూలిపోయాయి. ఈ వర్షబీభత్సానికి కల్కాజీ ప్రాంతంలో ఓ బైక్‌పై భారీ చెట్టు కూలిపోయింది . ఈ ప్రమాదంలో ఒకరు ప్రాణాలు కొల్పోగా.. మరో ఇద్దరు గాయపడ్డారు. సమీపంలోని మరో వాహనం కూడా దెబ్బతిన్నది.
Heavy rainfall in Delhi today led to a tragic accident near Paras Chowk, Kalkaji, when a large neem tree was uprooted and fell on a moving motorcycle. 50-year-old Sudhir Kumar and his 22-year-old daughter Priya sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Safdarjung Hospital. A parked i10 car was also damaged, though the driver escaped unharmed.
Emergency teams, including police and traffic personnel, responded quickly using a JCB crane to clear the debris and rescue the victims. The accident occurred amid an IMD red alert for the capital, with waterlogging and traffic jams reported across several areas.
